We are closing Art at the Alex a little early on VE day to move operations into the space behind the Barford Car Park for the town’s VE market, a free event with vintage and art stalls and hopefully good weather and a great atmosphere. Looking forward to the WW2 reenactors walking around the event with 1940s music playing. Come and find us.
Steve Davies and Chris Pegler will be demonstrating some of their crafts and we will have a small selection of local craft work for sale. Lovely to be part of this – and so local!
Steve’s printing is a simple postcard sized block called ‘pigeon of peace’. Its inspired by the photo of his (then) 17 year old dad who was in Trafalgar Square for VE day. Note pigeons. (We will take along our own yarn bomb pigeon too).
