Thank you to Art Friends Warwickshire

We are delighted to report that we have been awarded £300 by Art Friends Warwickshire to help us replace the elderly printer that we have been nursing along here. This will allow us to continue to print leaflets, flyers and posters to publicise and support art and craft events here. With this we will be able to buy a refillable printer which has replaceable parts, so we hope in this way to help save money, be more eco-friendly and also print a much nicer looking set of materials.

The remainder of the money will be spent adding to the Alex’s reference library. This is open for all visitors to use on the premises. It contains, books which have been donated by various artists, principally the owners of the Alex (Chris and Steve) but also now augmented by books from the late Pete Thornley. The library also contains nearly 200 issues of Craft Council Magazine and we hope to fill in some of the blanks in this collection to offer a complete run from the 1970s to the 2020s. Come and browse the library over a cup of coffee and slice of cake when we are open.

Thank you to Art Friends (who have been friends indeed with this award).
