The exhibitors at the Alex are largely drawn from the Rugby Artists and Makers Network members and members of the network are always around the place – in person or through their work. So the Alex is the obvious place to have a RA&M network members’ group exhibition. This June is the first RA&M Network exhibition here but the second of 2025 as network members also had a great exhibition at the Floor One Gallery of RAGM in February. Some of the same artists as then (different work) and several new ones.
Delighted that one of the works on display is by Maia Moothey who was a work experience student here two years ago and is now studying art at college.
The exhibition has a title and theme (Transformations) and there will a preview of work prepared for the Rugby Yarn bomb also on dispay during June as part of this show. A small indication of the transformations that will be happening around town next month.
You may realise that Warwickshire Open Studios and Love Rugby Festival both occur during June. So not only a great June exhibition but (from 21 June to 6 July) there will be lots of extra artists around and several special demonstrations by visiting artists.
