Studio/stash SALE!!!

I get asked what this means. Well my ‘stash’ is all the tools and supplies I keep around me ‘in case I may need them’. I admit that I have a stash that has reached SABLE proportions. (SABLE = Stash acquired beyond life expectancy). Sometimes I need to let some of it go. In terms of the Alex we sometimes get donations which we can’t use, or use only some of and need to pass on.

Other artists have less stash but in making goods for sale may have seconds, surplus supplies, samples, old stock etc. that they wish to sell on. This is a sale where this selling on can happen. We hold two of these a year – one in mid Feb and on at end of July.

We have five of our regular exhibitors with sale tables: Judy Haslam-Jones, Kerrie Suteu, Jo (Black Cat Silver), Carol Wheeler and Sue Byrne. Often these are selling stuff that they no longer make so its an interesting browse. For those who like sewing three sellers who are likely to have plenty of fabric and notions are Julie, Roxanna and Louisa (Lou’s Sewing Studio). Julie and Lou are likely selling quilts.

Alongside this is the last day of the Made at the Alex exhibition. And its the last day open to the public until 4th September. Many reasons to visit.
