Christmas trees … (yes, that is plural!)

Rugby Artists and Makers are, for the third year running, decorating a tree for the St Andrews’ annual Festival of Trees. There is a theme each year and this year it is music. So showing off some of the little wooden models of instruments made by Mark of Beespoke Birdboxes. He always delights with something unexpected – not harps but electric guitars! Many other artists are making items for this three and ceramicist Helen Maxwell is project managing.

Which is a relief as the Alex will have its own ‘live’ tree on loan from Wild + Free and decorated with references to the Rugby yarnbomb. Look out for both our trees. Its starting to feel a lot like Christmas around here. Once Gemma has decorated the windows we will really feel its getting close. In fact next weekend we start our twelve days of Alexmas again. ….
